Now that the Beta IV weekend is past us and we are all eagerly awaiting early access I thought this would be a good opportunity for people to discuss their thoughts heading into launch!

- Were many Ascensionites hit by the dread error 3102?

- How is the PS3 client standing up for those who are opting to play through it?

- How do people feel about Duty finder and will this replace the old manual party building scenario of XI for dungeons?

- What did people get up to and manage to achieve during Beta IV weekend and has this changed your outlook on jobs / crafts .etc going into launch?

I got stuck with a 3102 Error for most of Saturday/Sunday. But so far my experience in game was great. The game is very newb friendly, with a high (and easy) learning curve. I wish I had the chance to play more. I'm pumped for early access.

I was hit by the 3012 but was fixed before the servers went down. Very glad to see that Square fixed the error and then extended the beta for NA/EU only. Too bad it was early in the morning. Least I was able to get to a Sanctuary for rested xp.

- How do people feel about Duty finder and will this replace the old manual party building scenario of XI for dungeons: Duty Finder > Old ways.

- What did people get up to and manage to achieve during Beta IV weekend and has this changed your outlook on jobs / crafts .etc going into launch: Arcanist to 19 and capped main story line. Wish I had been able to get WHM BLM and DRG story lines done, but I work weekends :P

i was unable to play on old chars during phase 4 due to ps3 problem >.> i did play on acanist to 11 on a new char but thats about it.

I've only played on PS3, so I can't tell you how it compares, but here's what I like and dislike.

+:
The cross hot bar works great. No complaints.
The graphics are amazing, especially for an MMO.
I feel like there's plenty of room for all of the UI elements (at least in HD, which should be how everyone is playing).

I don't like having to press select to cycle through the UI elements. I don't know what would be better, but I just don't really like it.
I can't seem to figure out how to move or resize the chat window. All the other UI elements can be moved/resized through an easy to find menu.

PS3 you can resize chat by L1 + R3(Mouse Mode) and holding L2/moving on top right arrow of the chat. Moving the chat goes by holding L2/moving the general tab in Mouse Mode.

if you hit your select key, and it will move curser to the chat window, then you use the game pad to move the curser to the settings area. there is a settings area at the bottom of the chat window that if for making changes to the chat box.

I was also hit with the 3102 and had to go to sleep early on sunday since my students were coming in early.

Overall, thought the game was great. I'm kinda mad at myself for not leveling more jobs on my character when i was on for 1.0. As Leoge said, i just need more time, which i have next week, to level and get used to the game.

Btw, just cancelled my FFXI account so i could focus on 14. That has been a long time coming and i'm having withdrawls…..for 14
